What kind of place would heaven be with all its streets of gold, if all the souls, that dwell up there like yours and mine, were old? How strange would heaven’s music sound when harps begin to ring, if children were not gathered ‘round to help the angels sing. The children that God sends to us are only just a loan, He knows we need their sunshine to make the house a home. We need the inspiration of a baby’s blessed smile. He doesn’t say they’ve come to stay, just lends them for a while. Sometimes it takes them years to do the work for which they come. Sometimes in just a month or two our Father calls them home. I like to think some souls up there bear not one sinful scar. I love to think of heaven as a place where children are.

THE FLICKERING FLAME LIGHTS UP FOR EACH ANGEL ABOVE
BECAUSE THIS CANDLE HAS BEEN LEFT WITH ALL MY LOVE
THE CANDLE IS TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY
I HOPE THAT YOU CAN SEE THE FLAME THAT BURNS
RIGHT THOUGH THE NIGHT UNTIL ITS A BRAND NEW DAY

Where is heaven
Is it up beyond the stars
Is at the end of a rainbow
Or the other side of mars
Is it on another plant
Similar to our earth
Is it filled with happy children
and gaiety and mirth
Does its sunshine every day
Is their ever any rain
Are all the little the children
No longer in any pain
Is everybody happy
Can they see us down below
Please tell me all these things
For I’d really like to know
Are the flowers always blooming
In Gods garden up above
Do the children play with angels
Surrounded by their love
If I could get a message
To let me know these things
Then I may be able to sleep at night
With the peace that this would bring

I miss your laughter, fun, and gentleness
I miss your laughter, fun, and gentleness.
I miss the things I used to do for you.
I miss the time, now filled with emptiness,
When each day was a stage for something new.
I miss your love, though mine for you remains,
A passion with no outlet to the sea,
A teardrop in a desert, that contains
What’s left of my maternal ecstasy.
I miss your presence, like a silent chord
That anchored even solitude in grace.
I miss, for my love’s labor, the reward
Of seeing some small pleasure in your face.

FROM YOUR ANGEL IN HEAVEN
I see tears fall down your face
When your thoughts have turned to me.
Just know that I’m in heaven,
With my Lord, who’s set me free.
No pain or sadness do I feel,
For God is by my side.
The beauty here in Heaven
Is now where I reside.
I know it’s hard for you to cope
For you can’t feel my touch.
But every moment, I can see
And love you very much.
When you are at your lowest
And feel you can’t go on,
Look towards the heavens
The light will be turned on.
Talk to me, just like you did
On earth when I was there.
You see, I’m not so far away …
Only as far as a prayer.
And when it’s time for you to join
Me up in Heaven above.
It’s then that you will realize,
The Golden Place of love.
For here there is no sadness,
Just everlasting light.
Someday we will be joined again,
When it’s time to take your flight.
